• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Proven work experience as a Java software engineer for 4+ years
• Practical knowledge of a modern Java framework, preferably Dropwizard or Spring Boot, for the development of cloud-native services
• Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in writing and maintaining tests (preferably in Groovy and Spock)
• Experience implementing REST APIs
• Experience using Git, build tools (like Gradle) and CI/CD (Jenkins) in a professional/workplace environment
• Good command of application servers and servlet containers (eg. Tomcat, Jetty) and ORM frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience deploying applications in a public cloud (AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
• Experience with agile frameworks
• Εxperience with code reviews
• Experience with GraphQL
